About Us

Digital Media Foundation (DMF) is a not for profit organization based in Kathmandu Nepal. Founded in 2019 by a team of journalists and information technology professionals, the organization primarily aims to advocate equitable digital environment, strengthen free and independent media, promote individual’s rights and privacy protection on cyberspace. The organization is registered with the government of Nepal pursuant to Companies Act 2006. 

Since establishment, the DMF has been involving various projects and activities including policy advocacy, digital literacy campaigns and skill development projects for journalists. Working partners for these projects includes the government of Nepal, non-governmental organizations, community organizations and the individuals.
