DMF Hosts Workshop on Digital Tools and Fact-Checking for Journalists
The Digital Media Foundation (DMF) hosted a two-day workshop for mid-career journalists in Kathmandu on April 3-4, 2022, at Union House, Anamnagar. The workshop, titled “Digital Tools for Journalists,” was organized in partnership with the Asian American Journalists Association(AAJA) – Asia and the Google News Initiative, with DMF serving as the local host.
The program consisted of two key modules: “Digital Tools for Journalists” and “Fact-Checking and Source Verification,” conducted in Nepali. Subedi, who is the current head of DMF, previously served as the president of the Online Journalists Association Nepal (2014-2017). With over two decades of experience in Nepalese journalism, Subedi has worked with several media institutions, including Kantipur Publications, Himalaya Times, and Media Chautari.
