Experts discuss on National Cybersecurity Policy

A virtual consultation on National Cybersecurity Policy draft among with experts and stakeholders concluded on Sunday. Digital Media Foundation (DMF) was co-host for the event.

The Government of Nepal is about to endorse National Cybersecurity Policy, while shareholders are expressing their concerns, positive and negative impacts after implementation of the policy. In such a context, Internet Governance Institute leads the discussion in collaborations with different organizations including DMF.

IGI CEO Baburam Aryal initiated the discussion presenting major concerns showed form different stakeholders followed by a panel discussion. Expert panelist including KP Dhungana from DMF, Vivek Rana of InfoAssure LLP, Nitu Pandit of Sancharika Samuha, Dr. Rajiv Shubba of Nepal Police, Roja Basukala, Anjani Phuyal presented their concerns form respective sectors.
